NINA ROZA Canada-Italy-Bulgaria-Belgium, 2026, 103 min, color

Mihail left Bulgaria in the 1990s after his wife’s death and raised his daughter, Roza, alone in Montreal. Far from home, he became a specialist in French and contemporary art. Now, a collector commissions him to authenticate the work of an eight-year-old girl, Nina, from a Bulgarian village, whose paintings have gone viral. Hesitant at first, Mihail agrees to go. Meeting Nina profoundly shakes him; the mature child reminds him of Roza at the same age. During his stay, he confronts the ghosts of his past while exploring the mystery of Nina: is she truly the artist, or has someone helped her?
