30th International Film Festival SOFIA FILM FEST | March 12–31, 2026
The 30th Sofia International Film Festival is welcoming its audience from March 12 to 31, 2026.
The festival is organized by Art Fest and Atlantida Studio under the patronage of the Sofia Municipality, within the framework of the project proposal "Capital Culture - The Pulse of Sofia", funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU, National Recovery and Resilience Plan, procedure BG-RRP-11.021 "A New Generation of Local Cultural Policies for Large Municipalities", with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Bulgarian National Film Center, and the Creative Europe MEDIA program of the European Union, in partnership with the National Palace of Culture, various cultural institutions, sponsors, partners, and friends.
In 2026, the festival programme will include more than 150 feature films, documentaries, animations and short films. The screenings will be in cinemas, where viewers can watch the specially selected films on a big screen and meet their creators. We also continue the tradition of presenting a special selection of films online - in 2026 we are partnering again with Neterra.tv/plus and the audience across the country will be able to watch part of the festival programme.
We eagerly await in Sofia the filmmakers of the competition programs, who will personally present their films to the Bulgarian audience in cinema halls, as well as many world-renowned guests with their latest films. Sofia Film Festival in Plovdiv will be held from March 20 to April 5, the Varna edition from March 20 to 29, and Sofia Film Fest On The Coast in Burgas from March 19 to 27.
