📣 Again it's time for our traditional OPEN CALL FOR FILM SUBMISSIONS 📣
We are pleased to announce the 31st edition of the Sofia International Film Festival / Международен София Филм Фест, which will take place from 1️⃣1️⃣ to 2️⃣1️⃣ March 2027 in Sofia, with additional screenings scheduled through the end of March in Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, and Varna.
🎥 SOFIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is Bulgaria’s biggest competitive film festival, accredited by FIAPF and included in the FIPRESCI calendar. The festival presents a diverse selection of contemporary world cinema, bringing together films by established filmmakers and emerging talents, alongside special programmes and retrospectives.
The festival is funded by the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme of the EU, Sofia Municipality * Столична община, the Национален филмов център / Bulgarian National Film Center, and the Ministry of Culture, with additional support from partners, sponsors, and friends. It is also part of the Sofia Municipality Calendar of Cultural Events.
