„Brighton 4th“ with three awards at Cottbus FilmFestival

The successful festival run of „Brighton 4th“ continues! The film is a co-production between Georgia, Russia, Bulgaria, Monaco and USA and his director Levan Koguashvili was a special guest at the anniversary 25th Sofia International Film Festival this autumn - together with part of the Bulgarian crew he presented his new film in person before the Bulgarian audience. „Brighton 4th“ received three awards at 20th Tribeca International Film Festival, where was its world premiere, and the film is the Georgian bit for this year's International Oscar's race. 

During the prestigious Cottbus FilmFestival, focused on the Eastern European cinema, „Brighton 4th“ was presented with three awards - for outstanding individual performance to Levan Tediashvili as well as FIPRESCI Prize and Prize of the Ecumenical Jury.

The new Levan Koguashvili's film tells the story of former wrestling champion Kakhi whose devotion to his family leads him on a journey from his home in Tbilisi to visit his son Soso in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, and to help him with his problems with debts and mob bosses. The co-production was made with the support of EA „Bulgarian National Film Center“; Bulgarian producer is Art Fest (Stefan Kitanov and Mira Staleva).
