The "bad boy" of French cinema François Ozon, will please the Bulgarian audience with his new feature film - the erotic psycho thriller "Double Lover", premiered at the Cannes 2017

Fans of one of the most diligent filmmakers in French cinema (who over the past 20 years has made 18 films, including hits such as "5x2", "Swimming pool", "Time to Leave", "8 Women", "Trophy Wife /Potiche/", "17th", "Franz"), who are true to the specific aesthetic style he has imposed in his films, are already filled with anticipation for the widely discussed erotic drama François Ozon offers in his "Double Lover /L'Amant double/".

The film brings together on the screen Marine Vacth and Jérémie Renier, with whom Ozon has worked in "Young & Beautiful" and "Trophy Wife". The film cast also includes Jacqueline Bisset, Dominique Reymond and Myriam Boyer.

The story, as defined by connoisseurs, is a blend between a thriller and a drama - it tells the story of a young, sensual woman named Chloe (Marine Vacth), who falls in love with her psychotherapist Paul (Jérémie Renier). A few months later, she moves in with him, but soon discovers that her lover is hiding a part of his identity. She begins to suspect that she is in love with twins. It is the feeling of two different personalities which the patient shares her life and feelings with leads to the disclosure of two sides of the same person - the psychotherapist surely has some secrets hidden in his past...

The film was selected to compete for the "Palme d'Or" in the main competition section at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. Ozone’s new provocative film received quite controversial reviews, among which flattering comparisons to masterpieces by David Cronenberg, Brian De Palma and Paul Vernon. "Double Lover" will justify the excitement for an exciting psychotriller with the signature of a masterful director. This will happen in March when, as it happens every year, the most significant films come to Sofia, our "creative city of film"!
