Serbian film legend Miki Manojlović is one of the biggest names in Balkan and European cinema. Famous for his roles in Emir Kusturica’s film’s When Father Was Away on Business, Black Cat - White Cat, Underground and others. In the 80’s the talented actor also works with other renowned directors such Goran Paskalevic and Srdjan Karanovic. To this day, Miki continues to be part of some the most significant Balkan co-productions – Hell (2005) by Danis Tanovic, We Are Not Angels and the winner of the Grand Prix Stella Artois Award for best feature at the 2007 Sofia International Film Festival – The Trap by Srdjan Golubovic. Manojlović has also been honored with the Pavle Vujsic Award for his contribution to Yugoslavian cinema. In 2007 he was nominated for best actor at the European Film Awards for his role in Irina Palm. He also stars in one of the main roles in the international co-production The World is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner by Stephan Komandarev.
Miki Manojlović was awarded the Sofia Municipality award for outstanding achievements in world cinema in 2008.
