In the autumn of 1885 Tsvetan Radoslavov returned to Bulgaria from his studies in Prague and Vienna, where he had earlier composed the song "Dear Motherland". The wonderful song spread to all corners of the country and briefly captured Bulgarian hearts... "Dear Motherland" underwent several harmonizations over the decades by the composers Dobri Hristov, Filip Kutev and Alexander Raichev and by the decree of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Bulgaria in 1964, the song was declared the anthem of the then People's Republic of Bulgaria. The documentary follows the life of our distinguished erudite and the history of the national anthem of Bulgaria.
