Death to the Author, Life to the Character is a documentary film, showing the place of Aleko Konstantinov in the cultural life of Bulgaria, of his active participation in social and political processes at the end of the 19th century. His personal life and his work are closely related to the most dynamic era in the history of Bulgaria. His ideas have marked many of these processes, and have not lost their meaning to this day.
