Ivan, 58, is a seagull - Bulgarian who spends his time with foreign female tourists in exchange for money in Sunny Beach. Ivan has witnessed huge changes in the resort – once there were tourists from East Germany, the Soviet bloc and Scandinavian countries, and now there are Brits and Germans. Ivan has deep personality problems and he remains trapped in the life he led as a young man. He remains trapped between Sunny Beach and the nearby village where he lives, between his work as a seagull, his relationships with women and his other professions, between dreams and reality.
