The Bulgarian woman - Sofia, who lives in Norway, is divorcing her husband - Rune Jensen. The Norwegian used the power of the child protection service, where he accused his ex-wife of turning their children against him with her excessive emotionality. The two were placed under surveillance, and their children were taken away and placed in different foster families. The mother experiences the separation dramatically, but suppressing her despair and emotionality, she must keep her compo-sure to prove that she can fit into a different society for her psyche, just to win back her children.
