1972 was a turning point in Ilie Nastase's career: he won his first US Open, while also reaching both Wimbledon and Davis Cup finals. Moving back and forth in time and featuring amazing archive footage and exclusive interviews with top athletes, the documentary explores Nastase's highs and lows, the controversies that surrounded him and the enduring impact he has had on the world of tennis. Lovable, charming and generous, yet temperamental, arrogant and obscene, Mr. Nice'n'Nasty disrupted the old-fashioned etiquette of the sport in the 70s thus becoming its first rebel rock star.

TUDOR GIURGIU

Born in 1972 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Graduated from Bucharest Film Academy in 1995. His debut feature Love Sick premiered at 2006 Berlinale Internatial Festival, section Panorama and was awarded at several international festivals. Tudor's short film Superman, Spiderman or Batman won many festivals worldwide and became the 2012 Best European Short at the European Film Awards. His second feature Of Snails and Men was awarded at the nternational Film Festivals in Warsaw, Valladolid and Los Angeles. Member of the European Film Academy.

TUDOR D. POPESCU

A native of Bucharest, he graduated the Mihai Viteazul High School in 1975 and Politehnica University in 1981, majoring in automation engineering. Popescu began writing fiction during the communist regime, focusing on his journalistic career after the Romanian Revolution of 1989.

CRISTIAN PASCARIU

Cristian Pascariu is a film director and screenwriter, passionate about education, art therapy and the integration of visuals in theater performances. He graduated from the Faculty of Theater and Film in Cluj-Napoca, Department of Cinematography, Photography and Media, in 2010. His short films have circulated in over 70 international film festivals.
